If a student is not receiving any other form of behavioural support, an intervention meeting may be necessary. This will involve the student's parent/s, class teacher and a member of the administration team. During the meeting, they will put forward ideas and recommendations on how they can best support the child.
Tim and Margaret Carey wrote a fabulous little book entitled 'Intervention Processes'. If you can get hold of this it will tell you all and more that you need to know on the subject of 'frequent flyers' as they are called.
We are a group of Pre Service Teachers at Edith Cowan University who have been researching Ed Ford's Responsible Thinking Process with the view to using it in the classroom. We will add useful references and information and hope you will help us by posting questions or issues you have about the theory, or adding your own thoughts and findings.
